Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Land, Big Island

Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Subdivision (HOVE) is located on the slopes of Mauna Loa in the Kau District on the south west side of the Big Island. It is approximately 45 miles south of Kona. The town of Ocean View has restaurant, grocery store, hardware, gas station and B & B.

HOVE has beautiful sunsets, it is on the slope of Mauna Loa and many of the lots have distant ocean views.

HOVE lots are usually one acre, with varying widths of 70, 89 and 122 feet. All lots are on the catchment system. The waste disposal system for undeveloped lots is by septic tank. Many lots have existing electric and telephone hook-up. Some are "paid up" and some are on the SSPP program. All are eligible for electrical and telephone hookup. HOVE has an active community association and Road Maintenance association (808-929-9910). There is no requirement that a lot owner build on his/her lot within a certain amount of time, if at all.

The closest beach is located at the end of the Road to the Sea that travels through the Hawaiian Rancheros Subdivision just to the south of Highway 11. There are several beaches and beach parks to the north on the way to Kailua-Kona and to the South towards Volcano and Hilo. South Point (about 15 miles away), the southern most point in the United State, and a beautiful view, can be seen from many of the HOVE lots.
